"Christian education is not a negative thing; it is not a matter of isolating the student from the real world.

It is rather a preparation for life."

Curriculum & Standards

Academic Excellence Rooted in Biblical Truth

Agape Christian Academy's curriculum integrates faith into every aspect of education through carefully selected, biblically based resources. We utilize Bob Jones curriculum for its emphasis on critical thinking and strong moral foundations, while Summit Ministries provides worldview training that equips students to navigate contemporary challenges with a Christian perspective. A Beka offers comprehensive materials that reinforce biblical truths across all subjects.

These proven resources work together to create a cohesive educational experience that nurtures both mind and spirit. Students don't just learn facts—they develop the ability to think critically through a biblical lens, preparing them to excel academically while living out their faith with confidence in an increasingly complex world.

Cultivating Learning Excellence

Code of Conduct

The goal of Agape Christian Academy is to provide the best possible learning environment in a Christian atmosphere. We desire to address the needs of the whole child – spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially and physically. Each student is given boundaries and consequences by which to grow to a greater level of responsibility, self-discipline and understanding. To this extent we believe discipline is an integral part of teaching, learning and growing in faith. We believe the school, church and parents need to share in this cooperative effort.

The Agape Approach to Education

Truth-Centered Academics

History

Agape history curriculum provides students with a realistic, Scripture-based view of history that rejects secular conflict theory in favor of truthful, uplifting portrayals of peoples and events, presenting government as God-ordained and free-enterprise economics without apology while instilling intelligent pride for country and traditional values.

Mathematics

Agape mathematics curriculum teaches students that mathematics is the language God used in creation, providing traditional texts that emphasize absolute mathematical laws rather than modern relative theories, training students in essential skills while helping them see mathematics as part of God's truth and order built into the universe.

Science/Health

Our science curriculum approaches the natural world through biblical theism, teaching students that empirical investigation reveals consistent, logical patterns established by an intelligent Creator. Rather than viewing faith and science as opposing forces, we emphasize rigorous scientific methodology while interpreting data through a biblical framework, developing critical thinking and scientific literacy as students explore God's handiwork.

English

Our English language arts program emphasizes rigorous instruction in grammar, spelling, vocabulary, composition, and literature through systematic teaching that aims at mastery. Unlike programs that embrace relativism, we believe language has structure and standards, which is why students engage with quality literature while developing the skills needed to communicate clearly and persuasively.

Eternal Impact

Discipleship

At Agape Christian Academy, spiritual development is woven throughout every aspect of our educational experience. Our comprehensive discipleship program goes beyond traditional Bible classes to create transformative opportunities for students to grow in their faith, serve others, and develop into committed followers of Christ.

Biblical Character Development

Disciplinary Philosophy

The goal of Agape Christian Academy is to provide the best possible learning environment in a Christian atmosphere, addressing the needs of the whole child – spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially and physically. Each student is given boundaries and consequences by which to grow to a greater level of responsibility, self-discipline and understanding. We believe discipline is an integral part of teaching, learning and growing in faith, requiring a cooperative effort between school, church and parents.

Our discipline reflects Biblical principles and helps students change their behavior by shaping their character. As Proverbs 20:11 states, "The character of even a child can be known by the way he acts – whether what he does is pure and right." When a student's character is shaped by wisdom from above, their life will reflect the qualities found in James 3:17: "first pure, then full of gentleness, peace loving, reasonable, full of mercy, and good deeds, unwavering and sincere, without hypocrisy."

Our disciplinary process follows a progressive approach that respects the dignity of each individual. We begin with teacher counseling and prayer, followed by parent communication and collaboration. If problems persist, we schedule meetings to create action plans, which may include detentions, loss of privileges, probation, or suspension. Throughout each step, we commit to praying for the student, teacher and family for successful resolution and restoration to full fellowship.

  1. The teacher will talk to, counsel and pray with the student about the problem.
  2. If the problem persists the problem will be made known to the parents.
  3. Teachers confer with the parent over the phone or in person agreeing on steps both will take to address the problem.
  4. If the problem continues the parents will be notified through a “Behavioral Notice” requesting a meeting with the parent, student, teacher and school Administrator. The purpose of this meeting is to agree on a plan of action.
  5. On-going problems will result in severe disciplinary action including detentions and loss of privileges such as recess, probation or suspension from school. The type of action will have been included in the action plan created in step four. Ultimately, suspension or expulsion will be at the discretion and approval of the Board of Trustees.

We believe enrollment at Agape Christian Academy is a privilege, and students are expected to exhibit Christ-like character qualities including honesty, respectfulness, obedience, self-control, gentleness, patience, kindness and excellence. Above all, our staff commits to providing a loving environment where each student can grow and mature. Our disciplinary practices are preventive in nature, promote self-discipline and personal responsibility, and provide responses appropriate to the misbehavior while maintaining concern for the welfare of the student, family and school.
