The following criteria will be used to determine a student’s eligibility for participation:
The parent has read and signed the Parent Information Packet, agreeing to pay the participation fee ($200.00 for a full-time Agape student/$275.00 for a part-time and/or homeschool student) and to volunteer. All fees and paperwork must be completed prior to the first game or the student cannot participate. This fee is waived for coaches if their child is playing on the team or for the team’s designated parent representative.
The athlete has read and agrees to abide by the Athlete Code of Conduct and practice guidelines established by the coaches at Agape Christian Academy.
NEW Beginning in the 2026-27school year students must be enrolled in a minimum of (5) one-credit courses (or the equivalent) each grading period to maintain continuing eligibility to participate on an OHSAA-eligible team. Homeschool Students must be enrolled in at least (1) one-credit course (or the equivalent) that is a graduation requirement to participate on an OHSAA-eligible team. Homeschooler or part-time Agape students are not required to take a minimum course requirement to participate on club teams (non-OHSAA-eligible teams). Club teams will be determined based on the number of registrations per sport before the start of the respective season.
The student must maintain a minimum of a “C” in all courses (or the equivalent) to fully participate in Agape athletics. A failing grade (below 60%) on a report card will result in the student’s disqualification from participation for the subsequent quarter. Students with a “D (60-69.9%)” will be permitted to practice and train with athletic teams, but will likely be prohibited from participating in games and meets. This applies to OHSAA-eligible teams and club teams.
All students participating in an ACA sport must have had a doctor’s examination within the last twelve months. (OHSAA Medical forms)
