Agape Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, non-denominational school, organized and operated in accordance with the following foundational beliefs:
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God—completely inerrant, infallible, and the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21
The Triune God
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in essence and attributes, yet distinct in personality and function.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 11:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. He is fully God, equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and shed His blood as atonement for sin. Salvation is found in Christ alone.
Scripture: John 1:14, 18; Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 1:2, 8; Ephesians 2:8–9
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, a Divine Person equal to the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He gives new birth, indwells, empowers, and gifts believers for ministry in the Church.
Scripture: Ephesians 1:13; John 16:8, 13; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7
Humanity and Sin
We believe that God created humanity in His image and likeness. However, by both nature and choice, all people have sinned and are separated from God.
Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12, 19
Salvation
We believe a Christian is someone who acknowledges and turns away from sin, trusts Christ for forgiveness, and receives Him by faith as Savior and Lord.
Scripture: John 1:12–13; Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 John 1:9; 1 John 5:11–12
Satan
We believe Satan is the declared enemy of God, His work, and His people. Though powerful, he is destined for eternal judgment.
Scripture: Colossians 2:15; 1 Peter 5:8–9; Revelation 20:10
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Titus 2:13; 2 Thessalonians 2:8; Acts 1:11
Eternal Judgment
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will enjoy eternal fellowship with God in heaven, and the lost will face eternal, conscious separation in hell.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:50–53; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–17; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:4–6, 11–15
The Church
We believe in the universal Church—the Body of Christ—made up of all who believe in Jesus. The Church is commissioned to make disciples of all nations.
Scripture: Ephesians 1:22–23; Romans 12:5; Matthew 28:18–20
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a sacred institution established by God, intended to be a covenant between one man and one woman.
Scripture: Genesis 2:24–25; Matthew 19:4–6
Gender
We believe that gender is determined by God at creation, and each person is made male or female in accordance with His design.
Scripture: Psalm 139:13–14; Genesis 1:27
