Club Code of Conduct

Overview

  1. Agape Christian Academy expects students to live by Biblical standards. God's Word tells us to be wise (Eph 5:15) and to conduct ourselves with wisdom, especially toward outsiders (Col 4:5). As ambassadors for Christ (2Cor 5:20), our behavior needs to reflect Christ both on and off campus.

  2. Students and the Administration should respect all school property as stewards of God's creation. Students are to respect school authority (Rom 13:1-2) and are expected to show respect toward administration, faculty, staff, and fellow students. They should set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity (1Tim 4:12), reflecting wisdom from above and personal holiness (James 3:17-18).

  3. ACA encourages students to initiate personal confession and to seek forgiveness and repentance whenever this code is violated. When a student and/or parent comes forward for help, the administration will extend appropriate grace and support (Gal 6:1-2, 2Cor 1:12).

  4. Unity among believers is vital for making Christ known to the unsaved world (John 17:21-23). We are committed to our relationship with Jesus Christ first, followed by our relationships with one another. This ACA Code of Conduct aims to foster such unity within the school.

Code of Conduct

As Ambassadors for Christ…
Respect toward club leaders, staff, and fellow students is expected. Inappropriate language or conduct during club activities will be addressed by the club leader and/or school administration.

  • We commit to demonstrating Christ-like behavior in view of God's mercy. (Romans 12:1)
  • We agree to follow God's Word rather than be influenced by the world we live in. (Romans 12:2)
  • We are committed to be holy in our speech and behavior. (1 Peter 1:15)
  • We agree that we must be doers of God's word every day. (James 1:22)
  • We will put on a new self in Christ and become different than the world. (Ephesians 4:24)
  • We commit to having a new attitude that regards others as more important than ourselves. (Philippians 2:3-4)
  • We agree to glorify God in all that we do. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
  • We will walk in love just as Christ loved us. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
  • We will accept one another just as they are because Christ has also accepted us. (Romans 15:7)
  • We are committed to building up one another through the words we use in our conversations. (Ephesians 4:29)

As Club Members…
We recognize that our attitude and effort will have an impact on those around us, therefore we agree to the following:

  • We will treat our club leader and fellow club members with love and respect. (1 John 4:7)
  • We will participate in every meeting and project with all our hearts. (Colossians 3:23-24)
  • We will listen and obey our parents, club leaders, teachers, and student leaders. (Titus 3:1-2)
  • We will persevere through challenges and see our commitments through. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
